My role: Site design and development.
Project Info: As a project for my Internet Applications class in Fall 2007, I redesigned the Carrboro Citizen's main news website. It is powered by WordPress and makes use of customized queries to display the news content on the front page. A special plugin was utilized to allow customization through the WordPress administration panel. This site is live, however it is a work in progress!

Project Info: Gotta Get The Word Out needed a complete e-commerce solution to allow them to sell t-shirts printed with Scriptural messages. The logo was supplied by the client. I designed an original layout and set it up on the ZenCart shopping cart platform. I was also responsible for configuring the shop to work with PayPal for payment processing. This site features a rotating Flash banner.

Project Info: PharmaSUG, the Pharmaceutical Industry SAS Users Group, is holding its 2008 conference in Atlanta. They wanted to update the site's design to reflect this. I continue to maintain this site.

Project Info: LK Andy creates original designs on jeans and wanted a website that reflects its uniqueness. This site is powered by WordPress and utlizes a Flash introduction. The header and menu are also done in Flash.

Project Info: Comprehensive project for NeoSemantics, a holistic web community made up of a family of websites. I designed the portal page plus 3 of the family sites, TheSynonym.com, TheAntonym.com and TheRetronym.com. Shown is TheAntonym.com. The other 2 family sites (TheSynonym and TheRetronym) have the same layout, only with a different color scheme. Drupal was used as the content management system. There was a heavy emphasis on using color to indicate different sections of the website.

Project Info: The client provided the design for his site and wanted to use the SlideShowPro Flash plug-in to display the photos. I customized SlideShowPro for him and developed the rest of the Flash elements used in the site.

Project Info: Designed and developed new website to the client's specifications. This site uses CSS and XHTML. It is powered by the Joomla content management system, which allows the client to update the site from the browser. I currently maintain this site. This design was used from 2006-2007.

Project Info: Citizen is one of the Independent Weekly's regular columns, and this blog supplements the column. My duties included setting up the blog in WordPress, customizing the 3-column relaxation theme to meet the writer's preferences, designing the banner image (the title, photo and tagline were provided) and setting up a system to feed the latest entry from the blog onto the Indy's front page.

Project Info: I was responsible for all design and development of this website for a Chicago-based financial planner. The site is powered by the e107 content management system to allow easy updating and uses XHTML and CSS. I currently maintain this site.
