Project Info: I worked with the photographers at the Independent Weekly to develop a new section for the paper's site that features photo slideshows to supplement stories. The slideshows are powered by Soundslides, and I customized the colors and layout.

This is one of three short videos that I shot at the 2005 N.C. State Fair during my internship at the News & Observer. These videos were part of the "Postcards from the Fair" series, which highlighted the sights and sounds of the fair through video. All of these videos were edited with Final Cut Pro and appeared on the News & Observer's website.

Project Info: I produced this interactive map while I was an intern at the News & Observer. The map shows the voting breakdown of North Raleigh. I was given the graphics and data and was responsible for putting them together in Flash.

My role: Designer

Project Info: I was a member of the Design and Programming team for this award-winning documentary website on the cultures and traditions of Galicia, Spain. This site was the collaboration of journalism students and faculty from UNC-CH, the University of Los Andes and the University of Santiago de Compostela. I was the designer for the 'No one else will live here' and 'Reunited along the way' stories, and designed various interface elements. This project was completed in Spain during the summer of 2005.

Project Info: An interactive Flash module that prepares viewers for a hybrid solar eclipse. This site was a project for an advanced multimedia course at UNC. It features eclipse viewing guides, written and animated explanations of eclipses and a directory of past eclipses. I was responsible for all design, content and production.

Project Info: An interactive Flash module about the Indian Ocean Tsunami of December 26, 2004. This was an assignment for an advanced multimedia course at UNC. Explains how the tsunami formed and shows its path over time. Also includes information about damages and aid efforts. I was responsible for all design, content and production.

Project Info: The Multimedia Bootcamp is a program offered by the Executive Education Department at UNC to teach professionals about multimedia journalism. This website provides information about the bootcamp. I was part of the programming team for this site.

Project Info: The final project for Multimedia Design class was to propose a multimedia package for a website or company, and prepare a prototype site. I chose to propose a feature on the Mars Rovers that could be featured on a site such as Space.com. This module does not contain actual content.
